Water Polo Prepping for League

12.0.3
12.0.3

So far THS Water Polo boys have had some rocky pre-league games, but they are slowly getting back into playing and getting better each game. Their most recent game was on September 6 against Milken High School. The score was 16-9, and while they lost they still fought hard and kept persevering. By the beginning of the 4th quarter they managed to get Milken’s best players rolled. Rolled is a term when there are 3 kick-outs and they can not play for the rest of the game. While three of Milken’s best players were out, Torrance High Junior, Ricky Calhoun, managed to get several fourth-quarter goals. However, by the time they had gotten this advantage, time was their worst enemy and the goals that Milken racked up during the first three quarters kept them ahead when the clock hit zero. Even though Torrance had lost this game, they showed they know how to persevere through tough games and they are better prepared for their upcoming league schedule. The Tartars kick off the Pioneer League against North Torrance on September 21st.
