The CIF Playoffs brackets are out and THS winter sports are ready to compete for the win! Torrance teams competing in the playoffs include girls and boys basketball, girls and boys soccer, and girls and boys wrestling.
Boys basketball plays this Friday at 7:00 p.m. against Jordan High, at Jordan, for the second round of Division 4 playoffs. The Tartars won their first CIF match against Cantwell High, 61-55. They ended their regular season third in the Pioneer League with a 19-9 record.
Girls basketball will compete in the Division 5 playoffs this Saturday at 6:00 p.m., at home against Fountain Valley High. The girls won their first match against St. Pius High, 78-45. They finished fourth in the Pioneer League, with a 15-13 record.
Boys Soccer plays this Friday at 5:00 p.m. against Anaheim High, at Anaheim, for their second round of the Division 5 playoffs at Zamperini Stadium. The Boys ended their regular season with an overall 14-4 record and won their first-round match against Cajon High, 5-2.
Girls Soccer lost their first round game 1-0 against Pacifica High at Zamperini Stadium. The girls finished third in the Pioneer League, finishing their regular season with a 14-4 record.
