No one likes getting their order messed up, do they? When you order online, you may risk the chance of getting your order completely wrong or something missing from it. Especially costing more, due to shipping and handling or overseas fees. But buying is as easy as with a push of a button. With shopping in person, you can get the full experience of trying clothing on or seeing which size fits better. On the downside, there may be long lines, varying hours, and sizes not in stock at that time. Shopping online and shopping in person both have their own pros and cons, it’s different for everyone.
When shopping in person, it can be a helpful experience to help people find the right style and clothes to feel comfortable in. Sophomore Rosalie Lawrason frequently shops in person and thinks, “Shopping in person is easier to discover what I like rather than walking around, as well as trying on clothes I find cute.” Going to the store may help you find the perfect clothes and won’t have to return them because they’ll fit. Plus, in most physical stores, they get the clothes before they sell them online. So, you’re almost always guaranteed to get the new drops before people online do.
Except purchasing in person may be a hassle for some who can’t leave their house or don’t have a ride, that’s when online shopping comes in handy. Sophomore Chloe Coe prefers online because of how convenient it is. “I prefer to just scroll through different websites and find things, it’s much quicker than walking around each store trying to find what I’m looking for.” When shopping online, you can definitely find specific items you’re looking for by just searching the details up. This can be time efficient for people trying to find things last minute and don’t have to waste time going from store to store searching.
Shopping in person and online both have their pros and cons. It all depends on the situation the person is in; so whether it’s scrolling to find the perfect outfit or walking around the mall thinking about what to buy, they both serve the same purpose, and that is to spend our money.
