The Tartars beat the Warriors 3 sets to 1.

Torrance’s Girls Varsity Volleyball team had their 5th Pioneer League Game on September 18 against West High School. The girls were back in the game, ready to take the win for their first game this week.

The Tartars struggled in the first set. While they were still getting used to the atmosphere of the game, Torrance lost the first set by the score of 25-16. But they did not let the loss of one set get to them, and they came back, better than ever in the second set and basically the rest of the game.

In the second set of their game the girls not only won, but by 15 points at that. The final score of the second set was 25-10. Similarly, in the third set, the girls won again, making the score of the entire game 2-1, Torrance in the lead.

Finally, the fourth and most important set had arrived and the girls had been in their best condition throughout the game. It was up to this set for the girls to take the victory. After a long fight against West High, Torrance won the fourth set with the score of 25-11, of their game, resulting in yet another win. It was not an easy match, but the effort that these Varsity girls put in made the win possible.
