Torrance High won their wild card game to get into the CIF playoffs Tuesday.  The team won 3-2 with two goals from Jose Peredia and one from Leonardo Urbani.  The team is on a roll from a wild ending to the season.

It came down to the wire for Torrance High’s boys soccer team at the end of the season as they needed a loss from DaVinci High School to secure a place in the postseason.

The Tartars under Coach Burnett have gone 5-4-3 in league play, putting them in 3rd place in the Pioneer League. Torrance will now play Animo this Thursday in their first round playoff game of the CIF playoffs.

At senior night on February 1st, Torrance faced South at Zamparini for the last home game of the season. Although the Tartars suffered a heavy defeat, they managed to qualify for the CIF playoffs as they finished in the top 4 of the league.

Senior Jose Peredia has been a dominant force in the attack for the Tartars. The forward has scored 28 goals this season, helping Torrance clinch a playoff berth.
