The Torrance High girls volleyball team won their first round playoff match 3 sets to 2 against Flintridge Sacred Heart on Wednesday night, and are now advancing in the tournament to defend their CIF trophy.

The Tartars currently hold a four game winning streak going into their second round game on Saturday where they’ll play South Pasadena.

The South Pasadena Tigers also hold a four game winning streak going into Saturday’s match. They defeated Cajon in their first round playoff game 3-0 on Wednesday, and now look to knock out Torrance with a spot in the quarter finals on the line.

One of the two teams’ great seasons will end on the weekend. The game will take place at 11am on Saturday at South Pasadena, with the winner advancing to the quarterfinals next Wednesday to take on the winner of Quartz Hill and Millikan.
