Volleyball Digs in for Comeback Win
Down two sets, team rolls back to capture undefeated league season for the second year in a row.

For the second straight year, the Torrance High Varsity girls volleyball has won the Pioneer League with an undefeated record, and now look to defend their CIF Championship in their first playoff game on Wednesday.
The team did so after completing a comeback win against South last Wednesday night.
Trailing by two sets in their final league match, the Tartars roared from behind to win 3-2 and cement themselves as Pioneer League champions for the second straight season.
Their season started all the way back in August, even before students returned to campus. They end the season with an overall record of 23-5, which also includes a 16 match unbeaten streak from September 9th to October 7th.
The first round of the playoffs start on Wednesday for the Tartars, where they will host Flintridge Sacred Heart at 6pm in the Torrance High Main Gym.
Flintridge Sacred Heart, who are based in La Canada, finished 2nd in the Angeles League and hold a 19-16 overall record.
The Torrance High girls volleyball team has put together a special season and is playing exceptionally well. They are hoping to defend their CIF title starting on Wednesday, hoping to repeat their championship.
