Football: Torrance Loses to Lawndale

Jake Iovine, Sports Editor

The Torrance High Tartars lost last Friday night under the lights against league rivals Lawndale.

The Tartars ended their scoreless streak of two games by putting 10 points on the board at Zamperini Stadium. It wasn’t enough, however, as Lawndale emerged as winners with a final score of 17-10.

Torrance have now gone four games without a win, but are now eager to snap that bad stretch next Friday against El Segundo, who were hammered last weekend 47-7 by North High School. El Segundo currently stand with a 2-4 record, losing their last two games by a combined score of 67-7.

The game will take place at El Segundo High School on October 7th at 7pm.
